Hyperkin is releasing a new SNES mouse.
Back when Mario Paint launched in 1992, it came packaged with a SNES mouse that was compatible with a bunch of other titles, like Doom, and Wolfenstein 3D.
If you’ve been hanging onto your mouse for the past 20 years, watching it slide into disrepair, Hyperkin’s Hyper Click Retro Style Mouse for the SNES is going to be a godsend.
Available on Amazon.com the mouse has an “iconic retro-style color scheme” and handy 6ft cable.
Unlike the original, Hperkin’s mouse is optical – as confirmed on Hyperkin’s Terence James on tinycartridge – with “Smooth and responsive cursor control, perfect for drawing, commanding troops, or fragging enemies.”
You can pre-order now in anticipation of the July 6 release date. It’s a very reasonable $20 and before you ask, it’s not compatible with the SNES Classic Mini.
Let us know if you’ll be placing a pre-order in the comments.
