Steam Summer Sale 2017: here’s the list of games featured in daily highlighted deals

Brace yourselves: the Steam Summer Sale has started.

The Steam Summer Sale is back, so wave goodbye to your wallets.

Beginning last year, Steam sales no longer include flash and daily deals, instead opting static prices through the sale – but a rolling log of featured deals from the extensive list, to give more games a chance in the spotlight. This worked out for Valve, apparently; the 2016 Steam Summer Sale raked in 50% more sales.

We’ll update you every day with the latest highlighted deals, but just keep in mind that these prices will be available throughout the sale – and some deals may be highlighted more than once. There’s no rush!

These are only the starting highlights, and your recommendations and browsing cookies will generate new featured deals results. Have a good click around for more Steam Summer Sale bargains.

When does the next set of Steam Summer Sales deals go live?

The list of games featured in highlighted deals on the Steam Summer Sale will refresh daily at 10am PT/1pm ET/6pm UK. We’ll update this page shortly thereafter.

As we mentioned above, all Steam Summer Sales deals will remain available throughout the sale’s entire duration; it’s just the list of highlighted deals that changes. Bookmark this page and check back every day to see what’s been given a bit of extra love every day, if you like; it’s as good a way as any to stop yourself buying up the whole Steam catalogue at once.

Steam Summer Sale stickers meta-game

As usual, Valve has added a mini-game of sorts, where customers can earn Summer Sale Stickers when completing certain daily quests. One is just exploring the Discovery Queue and clicking through to the end. This can be completed once per day. Viewing the Friend Activity page will earn a sticker, and reviewing preferences will too.

Stickers are basically virtual collectibles, and once a quest is complete, you’ll earn a sticker pack that contains three stickers from the event. Once earned, apply the stickers to corresponding pages in the virtual sticker book. Once all the stickers that correspond to a specific page are filled, that page will permanently unlock on the account.

Unlocked pages can be customized with any extra stickers earned. The three stickers associated with one or more pages from the sticker book are assigned randomly, as usual, but you will never receive the same sticker twice until all have been received.

So, check back each day of the sale for more quests and opportunities to fill that sticker book.

Steam Summer Sale Paypal promotion

According to a mail from PayPal earlier in the week, those in the UK will get £5 off when they spend £20 on Steam Summer Sale items using their PayPal account. This offer ends on July 4, apparently, but it’s not currently advertised on PayPal UK’s website, for some reason. Probably best not to rely upon it.

A similar over was available to US residents, but only through June 22. Sorry; this one has expired.

That seems to be everything you need to know, doesn’t it? The June start date for the Steam Summer Sale was rumored back in May, and it was spot on. Let’s just hope you had your budget planned well in advance.
