Destiny 2 Warlock armour: Restorative, Heavy and Mobile sets, and where to get them

Destiny 2’s meta currently favours some attributes over others. Here’s how Warlocks can max out their Recovery, Resilience and Mobility stats.

Here’s a late addition to our Destiny 2 guide and the first of three pages dedicated to custom-tailoring your Destiny 2 build once you reach endgame. This one’s all about Warlocks.

We’ve talked elsewhere about which armour stat is best in Destiny 2, but there’s always room for debate, and it’s not immediately obvious how to achieve your goals even once you’ve made up your mind.

That’s where we come in. On this page you’ll find a list of every Legendary Warlock armour set in Destiny 2, whether the set favours Recovery (Restorative), Resilience (Heavy) or Mobility (Mobile), and perhaps most importantly where you can get the damned things. Seriously, getting hold of theLegendaries you need for a specific build is trickier than tracking down all the Exotic Warlock armour.

Once you’ve cast your eye over the armour stats page linked above and consulted the Crucible Playlist armour spreadsheet to determine what kind of armour you need for each slot, consult the info below to help you chase down the Warlock armour set of your dreams.

How to get Restorative Warlock armour (Recovery)

With Restorative armour, Warlocks can build their Recovery to 10. Recovery is the most favoured stat in the current meta, although it’s always a matter of some debate. It definitely plays to the Warlocks strengths, and makes it very easy to spread a bit across the other categories to build an all-rounder rather than min-maxing.

As with other armour sets on this page, you have a chance to pick up these sets in random drops or from other activities; we’ve just listed the most reliable methods where one exists.

How to get Heavy Warlock armour (Resilience)

The highest resilience a Warlock can achieve is 7, but it comes at the cost of Mobility. Recovery remains fairly strong, though, so many would argue this is a fair trade off for the reduced squishiness offered by Heavy armour.

Heavy armour sets are the most frequent midgame drop for Warlocks, which suggests this may be Bungie’s preferred build for regular joes. That said, they also drop in Trials of the Nine, which suggests it’s a strong option for highend PvP.

How to get Mobile Warlock Armour (mobility)

The highest Mobility a Warlock can reach is 9, but that comes at a tremendous cost to Resilience, and we don’t recommend it.

The consensus seems to be that Mobility is a dump stat, since it doesn’t affect sprint speed. It does improve your jump height, non-sprint run speed, and how quickly you strafe while firing, though – so more advanced PvP players may find it an advantage. This is probably reflected in Shaxx’s decision to award Mobility armour in Crucible reward packages.

Hopefully this quick summary helps you track down the pieces you need to build your ultimate Warlock armour set in Destiny 2. Good luck!
