Clever-Plays' inventive roguelike shooter Leap of Fate [$1.99] is currently on its first sale on iOS. Available for $1.99, 50% off its standard price for $3.99 on mobile (and it costs more than that on PC), this is the first change to the game period since its release back in August 2016. The game works fine, the one thing I wish it would get are MFi controls, though aspects like slow-motion to aim special abilities help adapt this one well for the mobile experience.
This is a game that I still like to come back and play occasionally, even after Binding of Isaac: Rebirth [$14.99] finally graced mobile. The card-based system for levels brings some interesting randomness to the table, with a great risk-reward system in play. The different characters have some interesting variations to them. Plus, with the one permanent currency, it balances out playing for long-term gains, by building up your resources for revivals down the road on good runs, while giving you opportunities to spend on things you might need right now. It's an interesting game, and for $1.99, it's well worth checking out. Also, it has giant eyeball dudes.
