Everyone knows I love platformers, and especially platformers where you jump around shooting stuff. This is what Agent Aliens from Indigo Gaming is all about. There's a couple of interesting twists, though. The biggest is that you'll be rescuing your trapped buddies during your travels which means they'll join up and fight alongside you, eventually getting a little line of helpers tailing you wherever you go. The second is that the shooting in Agent Aliens is done automatically, which simplifies things down for the touchscreen and also allows you to focus solely on platforming and dodging. Check out a brief demonstration in the video below.
I wasn't too keen on the idea of the shooting being automatic, but I actually didn't really even notice while playing because there's still plenty going on. It's sort of like the auto-shooting in Soul Knight [Free], and while in both that game and Agent Aliens I wouldn't mind at least an option to disable it, I also don't think it makes the games any less fun. You can actually try it out yourself if you're an Android owner as the game is soft launched on Google Play already, and for iOS folks the wait should be much longer as Agent Aliens is hoping to launch sometime this month.
