Tonight’s new South Park, ‘Franchise Prequel’, will lead directly into the upcoming RPG.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole, the sequel to The Stick of Truth, shifts the focus from the fantasy genre to superhero movies. The latest trailer is brief and focuses on characters over action, but it also captures the slightly sweeter side of South Park that often gets lost – the fact that it’s often a show about kids doing kid stuff.
There’s some…strange stuff in there (as there was in the ‘gone gold’ trailer last month), but it’s nice to see the Crab People are making a return.
With the game’s October 17 release fast approaching, and the show currently in the middle of its 21st season, it makes sense that the latest episode will also tie in to the videogame directly. Tonight’s new episode, airing at 10pm Eastern Time, is called ‘Franchise Prequel’, and will work as set-up for the game.
