A few months back, we wrote about Lightseekers [Free], the toys-to-life action adventure RPG that looked quite fun, and now you can try it out for yourself if you're in the US, Canada, or the UK (broader release to come later). While the game is using its pretty fancy—and expensive—figures as a selling point, it's totally playable without them, so don't let the $70 figures scare you away from what looks like a pretty fun—and totally free—action adventure RPG. As you can see from the video below, there's a ton of things you can do in the game besides just fighting enemies, and your heroes can be upgraded in cool ways.
There's also a pretty interesting lore tying the whole game together, for those who like stories. I'm pretty impressed with what the game is bringing to the table to be honest, and that's without even bothering with the figures or the cards, which can be played as a physical CCG or to get new in-game characters. The game is out now in the US, Canada, and the UK, and it's totally free, so you should go grab it and check it out. And, of course, check out our forum thread to chat with others playing the game.
