The big Hearthstone [Free] nerfs are upon us. The 9.1 update, which comes bearing the nerf hammer, has officially dropped onto the App Store, so make sure you know how some of your decks might have changed before playing another round. If you don't remember exactly which cards have changed, the changes are as follow: Innervate gives you only 1 mana crystal instead of 2, Fiery War Axe costs 3 mana (up from 2), Hex costs 4 mana (up from 3), Murloc Warleader gives +2 Attack to your Murloc instead of +2 Attack and +1 Health, and Spreading Plague now costs 6 mana, up from 5. The developers talked about the reasoning behind the nerfs, pointing out how they didn't want to move these Basic cards to the Hall of Fame, like they've done with Classic ones, since Basic cards serve different purposes in the game. There are more details about the changes here.
There were some other fun Hearthstone news in addition to the nerfs. Blizzard is releasing the Hearthstone: Innkeeper's Tavern Cookbook on November 7, 2017, and it's going to be a fun present for those around you who enjoy the game. The Cookbook includes many foods, cocktails, and mocktails inspired by the lore and cards of the game, and it will be great for those organizing Fireside Gatherings. The Cookbook will be $21.99 and should look great.
