Horizon Zero Dawn patch 1.34 out now, adds new save feature, fixes bugs

Horizon Zero Dawn has a new patch available that brings a new feature, and a host of fixes.

Horizon Zero Dawn actually received two patches in the last 24 hours. Version 1.33 – released first – is identical to version 1.34. The former caused a crash issue which was promptly fixed in the latter.

Now that this little detail is out of the way, let’s take a look at what the patch actually fixed. For starters, players are now able to create a manual save from previous game when starting a new game. This prevents the game from overwriting the existing save.

A few bugs which affected the New Game + and the Ultra Hard difficulty were also fixed. The patch is 309.6MB in size.

See the full change log below:

New features

  • Implemented an option to allow making a manual save from a previous Game when starting a New Game to avoid losing progress.

General fixes

  • Fixed an issue where for some players Tearblast Arrows incorrectly deal extra Tear damage on Ultra Hard.
  • Fixed an issue where some players were able to reroll Special Modification Boxes by saving and reloading.

Progression fixes

  • Fixed an issue in ‘The Womb of the Mountain’ when playing on Story difficulty where some players were able to kill the Corruptor outside of the gate, blocking progression because the player is not able to interact with it to continue the quest.

Horizon Zero Dawn’s Frozen Wilds expansion is due out November 7.
