Oculus has announced that starting today, you’ll be able to request refunds for Oculus Rift, and Gear VR games purchased through the store.
You can request a refund directly from the Oculus app, in the case of Oculus Rift. The general rule is very similar to Steam’s, in that you are eligible for a refund when you request it less than 14 days after purchase, provided you’ve not played the game for more than 2 hours.
This can be done through the app’s settings menu, by going to the purchase history and selecting refund. You won’t be able to use the game in question while the request is being processed, however. Oculus says that it shouldn’t take more than five days for a decision to be made.
For Gear VR, you’ll need to request the refund within three days of purchase after 30 minutes or less of playtime.
The above conditions apply to the automated refund process, but you can still request a refund if you exceed these parameters by contacting Oculus support directly. You can find out more details about Oculus’ refund policy through here.
This policy update is one of many experience improvements Oculus made in the last few days. Some of the new features include the ability to see all Oculus-enabled games in one library, regardless of whether or not they were bought from the Store, simplified setup process for the third sensor and 360 degrees tracking, and more.
Oculus Rift and Gear VR owners can now request refunds for games and apps posted first on http://ift.tt/2k0LiGW
