See the new content in Rainbow Six Siege’s Operation Blood Orchid update in this trailer

Rainbow Six Siege’s latest update brings new operators, gear and more.

Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege continues to rock on as quite a successful example of a rolling update game, offering up new stuff on a regular basis and by this point very significantly improved over the original release. The latest offering, out today, is Operation Blood Orchid. As you’d expect, there’s a trailer to celebrate.

Operation Blood Orchid is a whopper, adding loads of new content to the game including a new map set in a theme park, three new operators and new weapon skins. Two of the new Operatrors are from Hong Kong, while the remaining one is from Poland’s special forces.

As reported in our previous story on Operation Blood Orchid one of the biggest changes is that this update ushers in a suite of bug fixes and quality of life improvements to really tighten up the siege experience. Here’s the trailer:

Avid fans will notice the update brings changes to the game’s visuals including its lighting and skyboxes, while new server tech should hopefully lead to more stability of both frame rate and online connection. It’s a significant update, with the new content you see in the trailer really just scratching the surface of what’s included.

The patch lands at some point today, the September 5, and will clock in at around 15gb on console and between 26gb and 42gb on PC depending on your desired texture quality. It’s a biggie. Rainbow Six Siege rages on, then – and it really seems like Ubisoft are making an impressive effort to keep the game growing.
