The First Big Content Update for 'Card Thief' Has Arrived

It feels like it was just a week and a half ago that good ol' Nick wrote about the upcoming update to the brilliant Card Thief [$2.99]. Wait, it was just a week and a half ago. Okay, well, that's not really important. What is important is that the update is here! Yes, you are now free to venture to the little updates tab in your App Store and download the new goodies that have been added. Maybe you're using auto-update, in which case all you have to do is open the game. The future is pretty neat, and also now. Let's have a look at what's here, shall we?

The biggest addition is a new selection of thieves to play as. There are 10 new ones in total, each with their own game-changing rule to consider. What's interesting is in how they're presented. On any given day, only three of these thieves are available to use. Choose the one you like and head out on a daily contract, where you'll compete for the highest score against other players. Other changes include turning trash loot into stolen goods, adding a replay feature for the Daily Heist, and making a few adjustments to the rules. Specifically, you can now always sneak past blinded enemies at no cost, your rope arrow won't attract enemies, and owls can no longer be shadow-stepped.

That's basically a whole new mode to play around in, friends. It's not as though Card Thief needed more things to do, but you know, I'm not going to turn down more free content. If for some reason you've missed out on the game before now, this the perfect excuse you've been waiting for to check it out.
