PlayStation Experience 2017 kicks off today – watch all announcements here via the livestream

PlayStation Experience 2017 kicks off this evening and you can watch the main stage presentation right here.

The PlayStation Experience 2017 presentation will start at 8pm pacific, which is 11pm eastern. Over in the UK and Europe, the keynote takes place on December 9 at 4am in the UK, and 5am in Europe.

You can look over times for your region through here.

We’ll embedded the YouTube stream for you once it’s available, but the show can also be watched through live.playstation.com, Twitch, and Facebook. For the time being, the Twitch stream is posted below.

Expect the keynote to be scaled down a bit compared to previous years, as Sony dropped its biggest 2017 announcements during E3 and Paris Games Week. That said, the company has saved a few announcements for the stage presentation.

Sony said at E3 2017 it had saved some announcements for Paris Games Week and PSX 2017. The latter was a given, obviously, but Sony was adamant enough about it to let fans know to expect more goodies later in the year.

Still, there were plenty of trailers and announcements at both E3 2017 and Paris Games week. Monster Hunter World, which is hosting a PS Plus closed beta this weekend, was announced; we were given a new look at Days Gone and Knack 2, the first look at Call of Duty: WW2 multiplayer was shown.

During Paris Games Week 2017, Sony announced Guacamelee 2, The Hong Kong Massacre, and The Gardens Between so those are possible contenders for this weekend. We were also given a look at the super interesting Ghosts of Tsushima from Sucker Punch that week.

Sony promised more information on Ghosts of Tsushima will be provided at PSX 2017, and a panel featuring Sucker Punch will be held on Saturday. Other panels on the docket include one for Media Molecule’s 2018 release Dreams, which was shown during The Game Awards last night.

A panel for The Last of Us: Part 2 will take place on Saturday featuring the cast, another Naughty Dog panel focussing on Uncharted’s 10th Anniversary is scheduled. Hopefully, we’ll be given a new look at The Last of US: Part 2, and you can probably place bets on Detroit: Become Human being shown.

And who knows: maybe more information on Death Stranding will pop up. Then again, if anything, the trailer for Death Stranding show at The Game Awards 2017 may be the only thing to pop up. A panel for the game was held last year at PSX, though.

When Hideo Kojima was ousted from Konami, he partnered with Sony on his next title, which is Death Stranding, making it a console exclusive. It would be odd if the game wasn’t at least discussed during the show, but nothing is a given when it comes to Kojima, events, or the industry as a whole.

During PSX 2017 this weekend, and during the opening presentation, you can expect news on upcoming PlayStation VR titles – especially during the panel devoted to PSVR on Saturday.

We expect another look at the adorable Moss which releases in February, as well as Star Child, Megalith, Golem (announced in 2015), Aspyr’s gorgeous Torn, and many others.

In October, it was announced 60 PlayStation VR titles were coming in 2017 and into early 2018 so we expect Sony to devote plenty of time to games for the headset. Currently, there are currently 150 titles available for PSVR which has sold over 2 million units since release.

At the show this weekend, there will be over 100 playable games: 86 for PlayStation 4 and 19 titles for PlayStation VR. You can look over the list through the link.

Again, the PSX 2017 presentation will start at 8pm pacific, 11pm eastern. It takes place December 9 at 4am in the UK, and 5am in Europe.

We’ll round up all the information from the presentation for you the following morning, and put up on a post on the panels so you won’t miss out.
