Mass Effect Andromeda features a bunch of brand new alien races from this previously unvisited galaxy, but also brings back some old favourite.
Salarians are back, for one, piloting your ship and in this particular case playing an important role in Nexus politics. It sounds like old Jalun Tann here will be an important contact throughout your adventures in Mass Effect Andromeda.
This is the latest episode in a series introducing the cast, and the second to focus on a non-party member. (In the first we learned that Game of Thrones’ Natalie Dormer plays the doctor in Mass Effect Andromeda.)
But what’s got some Mass Effect fans really interested in this video is that it shows off Tann’s hands. I can’t think of a single example of a Salarian not wearing gloves prior to this Andromeda video.
What other secrets of alien anatomy will be answered when Mass Effect Andromeda releases this month? Probably quite a few about genitals and physiological compatibility, hem hem.
In case you were wondering, I did ask BioWare directly whether Jaal’s cheek pads are hard like crab shell or soft like cat’s face, for science. BioWare told me to play Mass Effect Andromeda to find out, so expect a damning review if this burning query is not explicitly addressed at some stage.
