Destiny 2 open beta guide: all Exotics, weapons and armour, and how to get your hands on them

A guide to all of the weapons, Exotics, and armour – and how to get them – in the Destiny 2 beta.

The Destiny 2 beta is open to everyone on PC right now, so get in there and grab some loot. There are more than 20 weapons (including three Exotics), and three armour sets per class, to collect on your adventures.

If you want to browse the inventory before you join the fray this weekend, or are deciding your class based on the Exotic, you can check out our list of all of the weapons, Exotics, and armour included in the Destiny 2 beta below.

Destiny 2 open beta: All Kinetic, Energy and Power Weapons

Before we break down the default weapon loadouts along with Exotic and Legendary weapons, the video below gives you a look at all of them.

There are seven of Kinetic weapons, nine Energy, and six Power weapons ranging from standard to Exotic and Legendary.

Destiny 2 open beta: Exotic weapons and how to get them

There are three Exotic weapons to be found in the Destiny 2 beta, and they’re specific to each class. The Exotic weapons are picked up during the Homecoming story mission that you’ll be thrown into after booting up the beta with a new character, for which we’ve done a handy walkthrough. As you progress, you’ll meet Lord Shaxx in a corridor full of civilians. He’ll pry open the door to the armoury for you and you can pick up your Exotic off the weapon rack.

The default armour is what can be seen in the Destiny 2 promotional art, and which you’ll be wearing when you first start playing. The PvE set is acquired by completing The Inverted Spire Strike, and the PvP set can be earned completing either Control or Countdown matches in the Crucible.
