The Dragon Ball FighterZ beta starts this weekend, so here’s when you can jump into the action.
The 3-on-3 fighter looks great, with lightning-quick combos and a crisp art-style that’s faithful to the beloved anime, but now’s our chance to get to grips with how it actually plays. Unlike the closed beta back in September, this time it’s open to all players.
The console-exclusive beta will begin on Saturday January 13, 2018 if you’ve pre-ordered the game, while everyone else will be able to get in on Sunday January 14.
Unfortunately, there will be no Dragon Ball FighterZ PC beta this time around.
Download instructions
In the US: The word from Bandai Namco’s official US twitter is to search on the store for the beta client on January 13, and it’ll be live for you to download.
In the UK: If you’ve pre-ordered, you’ll need to register and redeem your code on the official site.
Otherwise, just search the digital storefront on the day the beta starts.
Pre-load
The official stance on pre-load is that more details will be announced “at a later time”. But on Twitter, Bandai Namco’s UK account said that pre-order players would be notified when they can download the beta client on January 11, 2018.
You will be notified on email when you can download the Beta client on the 11th! https://t.co/bwgGx3exAj
