Nintendo dropped a tonne of major announcements at the first Nintendo Direct in 2018, and the anticipated Dark Souls remaster for Switch was among them.
A Dark Souls remaster for the Nintendo Switch has been rumoured for a while, but a report earlier today revealed it’s actually in development for PC, PS4, Xbox One as well as Switch.
Today’s mini Direct didn’t follow the typical format, and Nintendo just dropped all reveals at the same time. Dark Souls Remastered was the last on the list, finally confirming the rumours.
We only got to see a short, CG trailer, seen below. We did, however, get a proper release date of May 25. There’s even an official page on Nintendo.com already.
The remaster includes the Artorias of the Abyss DLC, and multiplayer / co-op for up to six simultaneous players with dedicated server support.
